Bennet Ratcliff

Democratic Candidate for Town Supervisor in Woodstock, NY

Back my campaign

I am running for Woodstock Town Supervisor to help create a community where we can live affordably and work successfully while enjoying a unique quality of life and protecting the Catskill mountains.

Working together, we can find local solutions to global challenges like climate change, social justice, and rural gentrification. We can do this and more by creating an open government where everyone's ideas are welcome.

Every voice should be heard from newcomers to old-timers. Artists, musicians, retirees, volunteers, town employees, workers and local business owners. All can contribute greatly to our civic life.

We all belong in the community of the arts. Let's work together on the following issues:

· Further reducing our carbon use, lower emissions and less organic waste in our town.

· Creating a community of the arts that supports the contributions of artists, musicians, and writers so they can live affordably in Woodstock.

· Recognizing and taking down systemic barriers of racial, gender, and economic privilege that have existed for centuries in our town, region, state, and country.

Woodstock is better when we all work together. Please join with me and pitch in to support my campaign for Town Supervisor.

I live in Bearsville with my partner Jackie Kellachan and our blended family of three boys, three girls, two dogs, and a cat. My Catskill nature writing and photos are published inHudson Valley One.
